1992 KLR 250
The Kawasaki KLR250 was a motorcycle produced from 1984-2005, with minimal changes during the execution of the model. This motorcycle dualsport light was used during several years by the U.S. military for a variety of tasks, including messenger duty and reconnaissance. It was produced by Kawasaki Heavy Industries in Japan and exported to many parts of the world, including U.S. and Canada, Europe and Australia. Chilean police (Carabineros) made extensive use of the KLR250.
Something similar in appearance to the larger KLR650 (sold in the same colors), the 250 is often described as a trail better (due to lower weight and reduced volume), but less enjoyable on long stretches of road. The user-friendly power delivery and light weight make it a popular bike for novice drivers. Like the 650, the KLR250 has continued to sell well into the 21st century despite being questionable state of the art ", even in his introduction, and have no editorial changes, except paint and color of plastic. Unlike the 650, the 250 shares many engine parts with an ATV sold by Kawasaki, the KSF250 "Mojave." This has resulted in the availability of engine performance parts, although many owners prefer to use the bike relatively unmodified.
Owners report highway fuel economy figures ranging from 55 to 70 miles per U.S. gallon (3.4 to 4.3 l/100 km), and the city fuel economy of 45-50 mpg U.S.> (4.7 to 5.2 l/100 km). The combination of excellent fuel economy, high reliability, low weight and easy handling have become a favorite among dualsport drivers and commuters and is still popular even though production has ceased.
Kawasaki KLR250 suspended at the end of the 2005 model run. He was replaced by KLX250S in 2006. This only applies in the USA. In other markets the KLX250 is introduced in 1981 and has since sold today.
The base specifications have remained virtually unchanged throughout the period of production.
